We’re incredibly proud to share that our collaborative working partnership with the UK Home Office has been recognised in the CIPD Wales Awards 2024, with a category win of Best Resourcing and Talent Management Initiative.
Awarded by the professional body for people development and judged by a panel of HR and business experts, the CIPD Awards celebrate the contribution of HR and people development professionals across Wales.
In 2022, SSCL were commissioned by the Home Office Resourcing team to improve the speed of recruitment while enhancing candidate experience and providing efficiencies for Hiring Managers. The campaigns also aimed to improve diversity and inclusion by increasing candidates from minority or underrepresented groups.
In addition to this, SSCL delivered efficiencies created through a streamlined end-to-end process, from market strategy, assessment, and a candidate-driven onboarding process, all supported by the bespoke service and subject experts within our Resourcing Services teams.
Following the initial success of this partnership SSCL and the Home Office have built upon these foundations to enhance the recruitment journey even further. Our ongoing partnership is one we are very proud of.
Pete Viney OBE, Chief Operating Officer, SSCL Resourcing said:
“SSCL, working in a collaborative partnership with our colleagues from the Home Office, was delighted to have initially been selected as finalists for these award categories, but winning the award further cements the teams excellent collaborative approach.
“The impact this highly visible recruiting initiative has made to the continued safety and security of the borders of the United Kingdom should not be overlooked and is a strong visible indicator of what can be achieved between the public and private sectors working together towards a common goal.”
This is wonderful news for SSCL and for our Resourcing Services colleagues who have been recognised for not only showcasing what can be achieved, but for also being a force for change.
Congratulations to all involved.
