Resourcing Delivery Manager


Role Overview

What does it take to make a nervous candidate feel settled in the morning? How many candidates can we expect to arrive for a PC assessment if we’ve invited 100 per day? How can we deliver 80 assessment events in a 31 day month? How quickly do the batteries run down on our virtual reality headsets? How much holding space do we need for 2,500 candidates coming to sit an exam? Do we need to engage with security teams to preserve the perimeter of our exam venue? Is £60,000 a competitive quote for that venue? How many DNA sample kits are we going to need through the next three months? How do we make sure the candidate leaves this building wanting to come back?
 
On any given day, these thoughts might run through your head in role of Resourcing Delivery Manager. Our team deliver a jam-packed and varied assessment calendar across our client’s recruitment space, their annual promotions calendar and in delivering a pre-employment screening service to ensure those coming into the organisation are fit for the job. No two days are the same, but what is consistent is our drive to deliver the best possible candidate experience and in turn, secure the best outcomes for our client.
 
Delivering the client’s annual Workforce Plan is no easy task. To do this, you will need to work as a flexible and dynamic management team, creating an environment that allows your teams to thrive. Your team will need to be customer focussed, innovative, and committed to delivering the highest quality of service. Leadership is therefore key, as is the ability to work with and manage your client stakeholders.
 
This role isn’t just about day-to-day service delivery. We’ll look to you to lead and support project activity, implement continuous improvement activities and continually refine the candidate experience we deliver.
 
Key Responsibilities

•         Motivate, lead and develop our teams to enable effective delivery of face-to-face resourcing services for our client.
•         With your teams, look for opportunities for continuous improvement, seeking to evolve the candidate experience we offer to maintain our high quality of service and staying fresh with industry standards / best practice.
•         Work closely with your management counterparts across sites, fostering a one-team approach to delivering an end-to-end service.
•         Work closely with the client and your management counterparts, turning Workforce Plans into deliverable campaign plans, yielding the required volume and diversity of candidates.
•         Responsible for organising and delivering face-to-face assessment events and other services on client premises and around London as required.
•         Work with client stakeholders to offer consultancy and business partnering for high-profile initiatives.
•         Act as a point of escalation for internal / external escalations and complaints. As the Resourcing Team’s on-site presence in client buildings, you are the face of SSCL and will therefore at time act as a conduit for customer feedback.
•         Collate, produce and analyse data in respect of the service delivered, measuring performance against internal targets, set SLAs / KPIs and legislation.

Essential Skills / Experience
•         Proven track record of managing and developing teams to deliver a high-touch customer service, to a demanding and diverse customer base.
•         Experience of working and leading within a Resourcing delivery space.
•         Strong organisational and project management skills, evidenced in both a business as usual service delivery role and in project activity.
•         Experience of effectively delivering a customer focussed service, to the required cost, quality and timescale.
•         Experience of leading a team, in a fast-paced environment where you’re not always co-located with your team.
•         Experience of implementing and measuring performance against internal quality controls.
•         A creative eye and great attention to detail.
•         Strong stakeholder / supplier management and relationship building skills, with the confidence to challenge the status quo.
 
Desirable Skills / Experience
•         Experience of organising and delivering assessment centres, or events with complex logistical demands.
•         Experience of working within a policing environment.
 
Other Requirements
It is a requirement of the post that security clearance at NPPV2 be obtained.
 
Location
You will work from our client premises in Empress State Building, West Brompton, London. You may be required at times to work from other client or supplier premises in the London area, an on occasion will be required to travel to other SSCL premises outside of London.
