Personal Assistant

Salary: Up to £25,000 plus 5% flexible benefit fund
Location: Newport with travel

Role overview

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Assistant to join our team in Newport. You will be responsible for supporting the HR Service Delivery Director for the SSCL Police Sector.

In this role, you will deliver an exceptional professional service, intelligently anticipating clients and managers’ needs and providing support to meet the varying demands.  The ability to be proactive, identify opportunities for improvement and work on initiative are pre requisites for this role.
We are looking to speak with candidates who are diplomatic and discreet in approach and who have a proven track record of managing complex and demanding workloads.

Key responsibilities

•    Manage the diary, appointments and time of executives to maximum effect making travel arrangements
•    Provide secretarial and administrative support to include administering of expenses, invoices, time sheets, cost centre and month end procedures
•    Organise events
•    Prepare correspondence, memos, reports , presentations from draft copy or short verbal brief
•    Manage and resolve incoming mail and telephone calls, preparing responses, redirecting or obtaining additional information on own initiative.
•    Be a source of information on best practice and business procedures.   

Essential skills

•    1 Year minimum working in a PA position
•    Ability to work with flexibility, commitment, enthusiasm in an environment with constantly changing priorities and pressures.
•    Diary management, minute taking, reporting and other administrational and project work. 
•    Confident and competent using a range of applications including outlook, Word ,Excel and PowerPoint
•    Ability to organise events 
•    Experienced at handling confidential and sometimes sensitive information.
•    Self-motivated working remotely from the Director


•    Budget management
•    Flexibility to travel to various UK sites on limited occasions 

Security clearance
You will be required to undergo NPPV2 clearance
